چکیده
This dataset contains interpolated and aggregated soil climate data of the region North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). The is provided for grids 1, 10, 25, 50 100 km resolutions. These represent spatial aggregations approximately 1 resolution 300 m raster. purpose this use as input crop models. It thus key relevant variables running Additionally, specifically designed to analyze effects scale in models, e.g. aggregation effects. has been used several studies on scales with regard different scaling approaches, crops, model output variables, production situations management among others.

Impact of Spatial Soil and Climate Input Data Aggregation on Regional Yield Simulations
We show the error in water-limited yields simulated by crop models which is associated with spatially aggregated soil and climate input data. Crop simulations at large scales (regional, national, continental) frequently use input data of low resolution. Therefore, climate and soil data are often generated via averaging and sampling by area majority. This may bias simulated yields at large scale...
متن کاملModeling Soil Carbon Dynamics in Northern Forests: Effects of Spatial and Temporal Aggregation of Climatic Input Data
Boreal forests contain 30% of the global forest carbon with the majority residing in soils. While challenging to quantify, soil carbon changes comprise a significant, and potentially increasing, part of the terrestrial carbon cycle. Thus, their estimation is important when designing forest-based climate change mitigation strategies and soil carbon change estimates are required for the reporting...
متن کاملUncertainty in soil data can outweigh climate impact signals in global crop yield simulations
Global gridded crop models (GGCMs) are increasingly used for agro-environmental assessments and estimates of climate change impacts on food production. Recently, the influence of climate data and weather variability on GGCM outcomes has come under detailed scrutiny, unlike the influence of soil data. Here we compare yield variability caused by the soil type selected for GGCM simulations to weat...
متن کاملEffects of Soil and Crop Management Practices on Soil Quality
Developing the concept of soil quality may help identify the soil and crop management practices required for environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable agriculture. Objectives of this paper are (1) to review current efforts to define soil quality, (2) to discuss factors and processes which influence soil quality, (3) to identify, soil and crop management practices that affect proce...
متن کاملClimate change Effects of Surface soil temperature profile in Ahwaz
In arid and semi-arid regions, soil surface warming is a considerable phenomenon causing a high thermal gradient which makes water flow intensely. The degree of soil temperature is effective on crop production, plant growth and soil microorganisms. In recent years, the ascending trend of temperature has been substantially noticed by researchers in the issues of pointwise climate change and at w...
